Phil Bowman IFA / Director
As director and compliance officer I have sole responsiability of ABFIM Ltd. I formed ABFIM in 2002 along with my wife Vicky, who has helped establish the company it is today. We have grown the business and have two further advisers and essential back office staff. I have provided advice since 1990, of which I commenced work within the banking sector then progressed to become an IFA. I work specialising in investment's and retirement planning, but my back ground is within the mortgage market. Therefore I have a good all round knowledge and have over £7 million under management. I work closely with other proffessional sectors, such as accountants and solicitors so have a good ability to liaise with these proffessional's for the benefit of our client's.
Tony Bush - IFA
I've been a financial adviser since April 1994 when was employed by a large financial services company. In 2001 I decided to become an Independent Adviser and have been with ABFIM Ltd since its inception in 2002. I mainly work with clients who wish to discuss their pension, protection and investment needs.
Having been in the industry for over 13 years I feel I have the experience to relate to most client circumstances. I also prefer to work with clients who appreciate the personalised service I feel I can give them.
Scott Taylor - IFA
I have been working in financial services since 2000 and have managed to make the transistion from school leaver through administrator to adviser, obtaining my Financial Planning Certficate, as well as Mortgage Advice Qualification, together with Equity Release and Pension Simplification papers. I was taken on at ABFIM Ltd when the company started in 2002, where my training has completed but I am still looking to continually develop my knowledge.
I enjoy dealing with all enquiries, from mortgages and loans to savings and investing, both in the short term and long term including pensions. I believe a holistic approach to financial planning makes more efficient management of your assets by ensuring your portfolio is as tax efficient and successful as possible.
Vicky Bowman - Office Manager / Administrator
I have worked along side Phil at ABFIM since 2002 and was instrumental in helping him establish the company we have today. I have over 6 years experience in the financial planning industry and I am heavly involved with the compliance issues that surround the financial industry. I also work closely with my colleague Sharon who is Phil's Financial Assistant.
Sharon Turney - Financial Administrator
I worked for many years in Primary Schools and achieved my Certificate in Education. The skills I have learnt have enabled me to assist Phil with our clients and their needs. I support in reviewing clients portfolios and in the administration and setting up of policies. Vicky and I work closely together to maintain the smooth running of the office. I am currently studying for CF1- The Financial Administrators qualification.
